x - 3 and x + y = 8
can someone help me with this pls ?

X = 3, Y = 5

Given

X - 3 = 0 ---> (1)

and X + Y = 8 ---> (2)

from (1) we have,

X = 3

Put X in (2) we get,

Y = 5
