GIVEN :

The equation is \frac{x + 3}{7} -\frac{(2x-5)}{3}=\frac{3x-5}{5}-25 solve this equation and check your answer

TO FIND :

The value of x in the given equation.

SOLUTION :

Given equation is \frac{x+3}{7} -\frac{(2x-5)}{3}=\frac{3x-5}{5}-25

Solving the given equation \frac{x+3}{7} -\frac{(2x-5)}{3}=\frac{3x-5}{5}-25  as below :

\frac{x+3}{7} -\frac{(2x-5)}{3}=\frac{3x-5}{5}-25

\frac{3(x+3)-7(2x-5)}{21}=\frac{3x-5-125}{5}

By using the distributive properties :

i) a(x+y)=ax+ay

ii) a(x-y)=ax-ay

\frac{3x+9-14x+35}{21}=\frac{3x-130}{5}

\frac{44-11x}{21}=\frac{3x-130}{5}

5(44-11x)=21(3x-130)

By using the distributive property :

a(x-y)=ax-ay

220-55x=63x-2730

Adding the like terms,

-55x-63x=-2730-220

-118x=-2950

118x=2950

x=\frac{2950}{118}

x=25

∴ the value of x in the given equation \frac{x+3}{7} -\frac{(2x-5)}{3}=\frac{3x-5}{5}-25  is 25
