x+y=3
cubing on both sides
(x+y)^3=27
x^3+y^3+3xy(x+y)=27
x^3+y^3=27-3(2)(3)
=27-18
=9

x + y =3

x³+y³=(x+y)³-3(xy)(x+y)

=3³-3(3)(2)

=27-18

=9.

x^3 + y^3=9
