Given:

An equation

3x+3y=0

To find:

Values of x and y from the given equation

Solution:

3x+3y=0 (Given)

So, 3x= -3y (taking 3y on the opposite side, it's sign will change to negative)

x= -3y/3 (Dividing -3y by 3)

We get,

x= -y

And,

3x+3y=0 (Given)

So, 3y= -3x (taking 3x on the opposite side, it's sign will change to negative)

y= -3x/3 (Dividing -3x by 3)

We get,

y= -x

Hence, the values of x and y are -y and -x respectively.
