(4x + 3y)/12=6 -1equation

4x+ 3y = 72

(2x - 4y)/8=7

2x - 4y=56 -2equation

adding the (1) & -ve * 2 * of 2eq. ,

4x + 3y - 2(2x - 4y) = 72 - 2(56)

4x + 3y - 4x + 8y = 72 - 112

11y = - 40

y = - 40/11

putting the value of y in 1eq.

x = (72 - 3y)/4 = 228/11

4x+3y=72
2x-4y=56
x=56+4y/2
4(56+4y/2)+3y=72

{ y = -40/11 }
now,
x= 56+(4×-40/11)/2
= (56+160/11 )/2
= (726/11)/2
=33

{x=33}
