ANSWER :

By using the identity (a+b)(a-b)=a^2-b^2

(x/3+y/4)(x/3-y/4) = (x/3)^2-(y/4)^2

= x^2/9 - y^2/16 - This is the answer.

Further it can be written as (16x^2-9y^2)/144 by getting LCM.
