\large\sf\underline{Answer\::}

\sf\:\frac{x+3x^{2}-1}{x-1}

\sf\to\:\frac{3x^{2}+x-1}{x-1}

\sf\to\:\frac{3x^{2}+(x-1)}{x-1}

\sf\to\:\frac{3x^{2}+\cancel{(x-1)}}{\cancel{x-1}}

Remainder = \sf\color{blue}{3x^{2}}
