X + 3y = 1300 ........... equation 1

3x + 4y = 3900........... equation 2

Let's solve it by using elimination method,

Multiply equation 1 by 3 and equation to 2 by 1.

3x + 9y = 3900 ..........(a)

3x + 4y = 3900.........(b)

From ( a) and ( b)

3 X + 9 y = 3900

- 3 x -4 y = - 3900

5y = 0

y = 0

By putting the value of y in equation 1

X + 3*0 = 1300

X = 1300.
