\large\underline{\sf{Solution-}}

Given expression is

\rm \: x + 3y = 25 \\

\rm \: 3y = 25 - x \\

\rm\implies \:y = \dfrac{25 - x}{3}  \\

❶ Substituting 'x = 1' in the given equation, we get

\rm \:  \:y = \dfrac{25 - 1}{3}  \\

\rm \:  \:y = \dfrac{24}{3}  \\

\rm\implies \:y = 8 \\

❷ Substituting 'x = 4' in the given equation, we get

\rm \:  \:y = \dfrac{25 - 4}{3}  \\

\rm \:  \:y = \dfrac{21}{3}  \\

\rm\implies \:y = 7 \\
