$x + \frac{4}{x} = 4 \\ \frac{ {x}^{2} + 4 }{x} = 4 \\ {x}^{2} - 4x + 4 = 0 \\ {(x - 2)}^{2} = 0 \\ x - 2 = 0 \\ x = 2\\ therefore \\ {x}^{3} + \frac{4}{ {x}^{3} } = {2}^{3} + \frac{4}{ {2}^{3} } = 8 + \frac{4}{8} = 8 + \frac{1}{2} \\ = 8 \frac{1}{2}$
