So,
X/2 = 4+y/2

4+y/2 = y/6+8
4+y/2 = y/14
Cross multiply:-
(4+y)*14 = 2y
Now we have to remove the brackets:
56 + 14y = 2y
14y/2y = 56
7y = 56
Then, y = 8

If y = 8, then x= 4+8 that is 12


Check:
X/2 = y/6+8
12/2 = y/14
6*14 = y
84 = y


12/2 = 84/14
