7x - 14 = 0

=> 7x = 14

=> x = 14/7

=> x = 2

Therefore x = 2

Now substitute x = 2 in x - 4y + 14 =0

=> 2 - 4y + 14 =0

=> 4y = 16

=> y = 16/4

=> y = 4

Therefore y = 4

The values of x = 2,y = 4
