Answer:

 \sqrt{x + 5} + \sqrt{20 - x } = 7 \\ squaring \: on \: both \: sides \\ 25 + 2 \sqrt{x + 5} \sqrt{20 - x } = 49 \\ 2 \sqrt{x + 5} \sqrt{20 - x} = 49 - 25 \\ \sqrt{x + 5} \sqrt{20 - x } = 24 \div 2 \\ \sqrt{x + 5} \sqrt{20 - x} = 12 \\ x + 5 \sqrt{20 - x} = 144

am I going the right way??
