Solution:-

Given:-

( x+5) is the Factor of (2x³+9x²-11x-30) the Cubic Equation.

Find:-

Since, ( x+5) is the Factor.

Hence, ( x+5 ) = 0

=) x = -5.

Now,

P(x) = 2x³+9x²-11x-30

=) P(-5) = 2(-5)³ + 9(-5)² -11(-5) -30

=) P(-5) = 2×(-125) + 9×25 + 55 - 30

=) P(-5) = -250 + 225 + 25

=) P(-5) = -250 + 250

=) P(-5) = 0.

Hence,

x = -5.

Answer:

p(x) = 2x³ + 9x² + 11x - 30 , g(x) = x+5

g(x)= x+5 = 0

g(x) = x = -5

Step-by-step explanation:

p(x) = 2×(-5)³ + 9×(-5)² - 11×(-5) - 30

p(x) = 2×(-125) + 9×25 + 55 - 30

p(x) = -250 + 225 + 25

p(x) = -250 + 250

p(x) = 0

therefore , x+5 is a factor of 2x³ + 9x² - 11x - 30.
