x = 5 is a solution of the equation -

(1.)  \: \frac{3}{5}x - 6 = 3 \\ (2.) \: 2x + 2 = 4x \\ (3.) \: 4x - 2 = 3x +  3 \\ (4.) \: 3(x - 3) = 5(2x + 1)
I know the answer, but I've little confusions with it, please explain it clearly

Answer:

(3) 4x-2 = 3x + 3

Step-by-step explanation:

we need to check whether the left hand side of the equation is equal to right hand side when x = 5.

1) LHS  = (3/5)*5 - 6 = 3-6 = -3, RHS = 3. LHS ≠ RHS

2) LHS = 2*5 + 2 = 12, RHS = 4*5 = 20. LHS ≠ RHS

3) LHS = 4*5 - 2 = 20-2 = 18, RHS = 3*5 + 3 = 15 + 3 = 18. LHS = RHS

4) LHS = 3(5-3) = 3*2 = 6, RHS = 5(2*5 + 1) = 5(10 + 1) = 5*11 = 55. LHS ≠ RHS

So option 3 is the answer. Hope it helps.
