x + 6/x = 7

(x² + 6)/x = 7

x² + 6 = 7x

x² - 7x + 6 = 0

x² -6x -x + 6 = 0

x( x -6) -1(x-6) = 0

(x-1)(x-6) = 0

so x = 1 and 6
