GIVEN

EQUATION

X+6/Y=6

3X+8/Y=5

Let 1/y is equals to a.

Than, new equation will be

x+6a=6(1)

3X+8a=5 (2)

Multiplying by 3 in Equation (1)

Than value will be..

3(X+6a)=6*3

3x+18a=18. (3)

Now by substituting equation 3 and 2

3x+8a=5+

3x+18a=18

-_________

=>-10a=-13.

a=13/10

Putting the value of a in Equation (2)

3x+8*13/10=5.

=>3x+104/10=5

=>3x=5-104/10

=>3x=54/10

X=9/5

Nd y=10/13
