Step-by-step explanation:

we have

x+6/y=6

=>x=6-6/y..........eq(1)

substituting the value of x in 3x-8/y=5

3(6-6/y)-8/y=5

=>18-18/y-8/y=5

=>18y-26=5y

=>13y=26

=>y=2

we get the value of y=2

On substituting the value of y=2 in eq(1)

therefore x=6-6/2=3

Hence we got x=3 and y=2
