(x+7)(x-10)+16 solve with splitting middle term

Answer:

Solving the brackets first you get the equation

x^2 - 10x + 7x -70 +16


x^2 - 3x - 54


Now do the middle term splitting


x^2 - 9x + 6x - 54


x(x-9) + 6(x-9)


(x-9) + (x+6)


After opening the brackets the values of x are


x=9 or x= -6
