Step-by-step explanation:

x + 8y = 10

x = 10 - 8y ---------(1)

3x -2y = 7

x = 7+3y /3 ---------(2)

LHS is equal in both equations (1)&(2) so RHS can be

equated

● 10-8y = 7+3y/3

(10-8y)3 = 7 +3y

30 - 24y = 7+3y

30-7 = 3y +24y

23 = 27y

y = 23/27

substitution of y value in any of those equations gives us

value of x also

x = 10 - 7(23/27)

x = 10 - 161 /27

x = 270 - 161 /27

x = 109/27

Answer:

x+7y=10--------------------(1)

3x-2y=7--------------------(2)

by substituion method,

x=10-7y-------------------(3)

putting value of x from eq 3 into eq 2

3(10-7y)-2y=7

30-21y-2y=7

-19y= 7-30

-19y=-23

   y=23/19

now putting value of y in eq 3

x=10-7(23/19)

x=10-161/19

x=190-161/19

x=29/19

hence the values of x and y are 29/19 and 23/19 respectively

hope it helps and plz mark as brainliest!!
