THERMAL POWER PLANT:

In a Thermal power plant steam is used to rotate the turbine at very high temperature and pressure.

in thermal power generation coal is burnt and the energy of coal is used to produce

Steam from water.

Steam at high temperature and pressure rotates the turbine.

The turbine is connected to the generator that generates electricity.

The steam is condensed to water by cooling it in a cooling tower.

The water is recirculated to the boiler.

Thermal Power Plant:-----

⚫An illustration where heat energy obtained by burning fossil fuels is used to generate steam which is allowed to run a turbine and produce electricity is called a Thermal Power Plant..

⭕The word "Thermal" refers to the heat energy released by burning fossil fuels and the word "Power" refers to the electric power generated..

⭕The same concept used in a thermal power plant but at a much larger scale. In place of LPG , the fossil fuels Generally burnt are coal or natural gas.

⭕It is important to note that it is more economical to supply Electricity energy from one place to other as compared to the supply of coil/oil....
