U made a small mistake u have to add (a+b)x

IDENTITY:

(x+a) (x+b)= x2+(a+b)x +ab​

CONFIRMATION:

(x+a) (x+b)

Through normal multiplication:

x^{2} +ax+bx+ab

Taking x common from ax and bx we get:

x^{2} + (a+b)x +ab
