Question

(x+a)(x+b)=x² + x(a+b) + ab prove geometrically

Solution

L.H.S= (x+a)(x+b)

= x(x+b) + a(x+b)

= x²+bx+ax+ab

= x²+x(a+b)+ab

R.H.S= x² + x(a+b) + ab

Therefore,

L.H.S=R.H.S

Hence, proved.
