 \frac{x}{a} + \frac{y}{b} = a + b \\ ay + bx = ab(a + b) \\ {a}^{2} y + abx = {a}^{2} b(a + b)
 \frac{x}{ {a}^{2} } + \frac{y}{ {b}^{2} } = 2 \\ {a}^{2} y + {b}^{2} x = 2 {a}^{2} {b}^{2}
Now subtracting the two equations, we get
abx - {b}^{2} x = {a}^{2} b(a + b - 2b) \\ x(ab - {b}^{2} ) = {a}^{2} b(a - b) \\ x = \frac{ {a}^{2}b(a - b) }{b(a - b)} \\ x = {a}^{2}
Similarly you can solve for y, which would give
y = {b}^{2}
