The new ratio is 2:1:1 and sacrificing ratio is 1:2.

GIVEN: X : Y = 7:5 ; Z is admitted

TO FIND: New profit sharing ratio and sacrificing ratio

SOLUTION:

X's Old share = \frac{7}{12}

Y's old share = \frac{5}{12}

Z acquire his share from X = \frac{1}{12}

Z acquire his share from Y = \frac{1}{6}

X's new ratio = \frac{7}{12} - \frac{1}{12}

                    = \frac{6}{12}

Y's new ratio = \frac{5}{12} - \frac{1}{6}

                      = \frac{5-2}{12}

                     = \frac{3}{12}

Z's ratio = \frac{1}{12} + \frac{1}{6}

             = \frac{1+2}{12}

              = \frac{3}{12}

New Ratio of X, Y, and Z = 6:3:3

                                         = 2:1:1

Sacrificing Ratio = Old - New

X = \frac{7}{12} - \frac{2}{4}

  = \frac{1}{12}

Y = \frac{5}{12} - \frac{1}{4}

    = \frac{2}{12}

Sacrificing ratio is 1:2.

The new ratio is 2:1:1 and sacrificing ratio is 1:2.
