‘X’ and ‘Y’ are the two endocrine glands located in
the brain. ‘X’ releases a hormone ‘Z’ which regulates
growth in humans. ‘X’ and ‘Y’ are
(1) X – Hypothalamus and Y – Pituitary gland
(2) X – Thyroid gland and Y – Pineal gland
(3) X – Pituitary gland and Y – Pineal gland
(4) X – Pituitary gland and Y – Thyroid gland
