Y covered more distance by 56 m

EXPLANATION :

Distance covered by X = 3 × perimeter of the square garden

=3(4×42)

=3×168

=504 m

Distance covered by Y = 4 × perimeter of rectangular garden

=4[2(l+b)]

=4 × 2(70)

=4 × 140

=560

Difference = 560-504 =56

So Y covered more distance than X by

56 m
