x and Y can do piece of work in 18 days. Y and z together can do it in 24 days . If x is 2 times as good a work guy as z find in which time y alone can do it

y+z=24........2
& x=2z

now ,from eq... 1
put in eq first x=2z&y=24-z
=} 2z+24-z=18
=}z=-6&y=30&x=48
&y+x/2=39 this is the period of y.
