X's investment = Rs 21000
Y's investment = Rs 17500.
Ratio of their investment
= 21000 : 17500 = 6:5.
So, their profit will also divide in 6:5 ratio i.e. X will get 6/11 part and Y will get 5/11 part.
And, here profit = Rs 26400
A's profit = 6/11 * 26400 = Rs 14400
B's profit = 5/11 *26400 = Rs 12000.
