Sᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ :-

Let us Assume That, Total Profit is Rs.100x .

As 10% was Reduced in Taxes . so , we can say That, Rest Rs.90x was distributed between X & Y.

Now , we have given That, The ratio of their invested capital was 3 : 2.

Hence, we can conclude That, Ratio of Their Profit will also be 3 : 2 .

Therefore,

(3 + 2) => 5 units = Rs.90x

→ Y share => 2 units = (90x/5) * 3 = Rs.36x .

Hence, we can say That,

36x = 6480

→ x = (6480/36)

→ 100x = (6480/36) * 100 = Rs.18,000 (Ans.)

The Total Profit is Rs.18,000.
