X and Y together can do a piece of work in 6 days, while X alone can do it in 9 days. In how many days
can Y alone do the same work ?

x+y=1/6 or 54/6=9

x=1/9 or 54/9=6

one day work of y=1/6-1/9=1/18 or 9-6=3

no days y alone would take to complete the work = 1÷1/18=18days or 54/3=18days.

Number of working days = Total work/Work done per day

LCM =18

Xand Y per day work=18/6

=3 units

X's per day work=18/9

=2 units

Y 's workper day=3-2

Y's =1 unit

Total Working days For Y=18/1

=18 days
