just a minute let me solve the correct equation...
actually while making the equation there is a mistake...the correct equation so formed is x^2+x-20=0...
now you can split this...
x^2-4x+5x-20=0
x(x-4)+5(x-4)=0
(x-4)(x+5)=0
now...x-4=0 OR x+5=0
therefore...x=4 OR x=-5
