Hey,


If the number of valence electrons are greater than 4, then we can find valency by subtracting valence electrons from 8.

Here, number of valence  electrons is 8.

So,  valency = 8-8 = 0.

Hence, the valency is 0.

The elements whose valency is zero are called noble metals.

eg, helium, argon, xenon, etc.
