X’ can take following defences in Criminal law:

(i)     Insanity or mental disorder:

Here the accused is declared to be suffering from mental disorder & is not able to take any sensible decision.

(ii)   Intoxication:

It is a state where a person in toxicities with some drug or chemical & that intoxicated person lose control on mental capabilities.
