The metal 'X' would be Copper (Cu).

- Copper does not react with water or any of the strong acids like hydrochloric acid or sulphuric acid.

- But copper reacts with Cl to form copper (I) chloride (CuCl).

- From this, we come to the conclusion that copper is less reactive than most of the other metals.

- It is placed very low in the reactivity series of metals due to this reason.

- Hence, the metal X is Copper.
