X is a mixture of iron fillings and sulphur why is a product obtained by heating the mixture X and crushing it to a fine powder on bringing a magnet over X and Y what will happen

In X mixture when we bring a magnet it will attract the iron fillings,whereas in Y it is a product of iron fillings and sulphur which is obtained by heating.It has became a compound and compound shows different property properties so nothing will happen when we bring a magnet on Y.
