A- Charge of the ion will be +2.

B-The number of protons will be 20 and it will not change.

C -The valency of X is +2, and Cl is -1.

D- The chemical formula of the carbonate will be XCO3 .

X has 2 electrons in its valence shell ,so it will donate them to form +2 ion,and carbonate ion will accept those two donated electrons to obtain -2 charge.
