if x is reciprocal of y then x=1/y
so the given expression becomes
(1/y + y) ÷ (1/y - y)
= ( 1+ y^2)/y ÷ ( 1- y^2)/y
= ( 1+ y^2)/y × y/( 1- y^2)
=( 1+ y^2)/(1- y^2)
