Given:

Total number of atoms present in the formula of the gas responsible for global warming is X

The percentage of nitrogen in the atmosphere is YZ

To Find:

The answer in the form of X+Y+Z

Explanation:

We know that the primary gas responsible for global warming is carbon dioxide (CO_{2} ) and it has one carbon atom and two oxygen atoms.

∴ Number of atoms present in (CO_{2})=3X=3

We know that the percentage of nitrogen in the atmosphere is 78%

⇒  Y=7 ; Z=8

X+Y+Z=3+7+8

=18

Answer:

X+Y+Z=18
