x + iy  =  \frac{2 - 3i}{4 + 5i}  \\  x + iy =  \frac{(2 - 3i)(4 - 5i)}{(4 + 5i)(4 - 5i) }  \\ x + iy =  \frac{8 - 10i - 12i + 15 {i}^{2} }{16 - 25 {i}^{2} }  \\ x + iy =  \frac{8  - 15 - 22i}{16 + 25}  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: ... \: ( {i}^{2}  = 1) \\ x + iy =  \frac{ - 7 - 22i}{41}  \\ x + iy = ( \frac{ - 7}{41} ) + i( \frac{ - 22}{41} )

On comparing L.H.S. and R.H.S.

x =  \frac{- 7}{41} and y =  \frac{- 22}{41}
