Median is the middle value of the data values after arranging the data values in the ascending or descending order.

If n is odd, then the median is (2n+1)th value.

If n is even, then the median is 2(2n)th+(2n+1)th value.

Given data values are 5x,x,3x,32x,4x,52x,43x

Arranging the data values in the ascending order we get 5x,4x,3x,52x,32x,43x,x

Given that median of the data is 4

Total number of values is n=7 (odd)

Therefore, the median is (27+1)th value = 4th value =2x/5

⟹4=2x/5

⟹2x=20⟹x=10
