Answer:

x-q (p-q) =x+q(p+q) [on cross multiplication]

x(p-q) -q(p-q) =x(p+q)+q(p+q)

xp - xq - qp + q² = xp + xq + qp + q²

ATQ x is the variable as we have to find it's value and others are constant. So, bringing all x terms to LHS and q terms to RHS.

xp-xq-xp-xq = - q²+ qp + qp + q²

xp - xp - xq - xq = -q² + q²+qp+qp[combining like terms ]

-2xq = 2qp

x = 2qp/-2xq

x = -p
