Answer: X=√2+1/√2-1

Y=√2-1/√2+1   :  FIND THE VALUE  OF X²+Y²+XY

X=√2+1/2-1

  =√2+1/2-1*2+1/2+1  RATIONALISE THE DENOMINATOR BY  √2+1/2+1

  =√(2+1)²/2²-1²    ; it is in the form of (a+b)²/a²-b²

  =√3²/4-1

   =√9/3

  =√3

SIMILARLY FIND OUT Y

Y=√1/3

X²+Y²+XY

=(√3)²+(√1/3)²+√3*1/3

=3+1/3 1

=4+1/3

=13/3

∴ THE VALUE OF X²+Y²+XY =13/3
