x^2 + (1/x)^2 -11

x^2+1/x^2=11

x^4+1/x^2 =11

x^4+1=11x^2

x^4-11x^2= -1

x^2(x^2-11)=-1

x^2=-1

(x=-1)

x^2-11=-1

(x=10)
