Answer:

(x+8) (x +2)

Step-by-step explanation:

=> x^2 + 10x + 16

=>  x^2 +2x + 8x +16

=> x(x + 2) + 8(x + 2)

=> (x + 8) (x + 2)

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given equation,

x^2 + 10x + 16

We shall factorize by factorization method

Step-1

Multiply x^2 and constant

16x^2

Step-2

Split it into two terms such that if we add or subtract them we should get result second term

16x^2=8x and 2x

Step-3

Substitute these factors in place of middle term

x^2 + 2x +8x +16

Step- 4

Mark fist two terms and last two terms as a group

[x^2 + 2x] [8x+16]

Step-5

Take common from them

x(x+2) 8(x+2)

Again, (x+2) is common

(x+2)(x+8)

Step-6

Equate each of them to 'zero'

(a)x+2=0

x=-2

(b)x+8=0

x=-8

∴ The zeroes are -8 and -2

Hope it helps you,
