x^2 + 3√2 x - 6 = 0

this is a quadratic equation,

let, a = 1 , b = 3 √2 , c = - 6

let first find ,

discriminant (D) = b^2 - 4ac = (3√2)^2 - 4(1)(-6)

D = 18+ 24 = 42

D = 42

now for "x"

x = - b +- √D / 2

x = - 3√2 +- √42 / 2(1)

x = - 3√2 + √42 / 2 , -3√2 - √42 / 2

x = -(3√2 -√42) / 2 , - (3√2 + √42 ) / 2 = 0

{(2x + 3√2 )- √42 } , { (2x +3√2) + √42 }

hence,

x^2 + 3√2 x - 6= { (2x + 3√2 ) -√42 ) } { (2x + 3√2 ) +√42 ) }

are the factors of given quadratic polynomial.
