Given (x^2 + 4)/(x^2 - 4) = 4/5

On cross-multiplication, we get

5(x^2 + 4) = 4(x^2 - 4)

5x^2 + 20 = 4x^2 - 16

5x^2 = 4x^2 - 16 - 20

5x^2 = 4x^2 - 36

5x^2 - 4x^2 = - 36

x^2 = -36

x = 6i (or) -6i.

Hope this helps!

 \frac{x^{2}+4 }{ x^{2} -4} =  \frac{4}{5}
 5( x^{2} +4)=4( x^{2} -4)
5 x^{2} +20=4 x^{2} -16
5 x^{2} -4 x^{2} =-20-16
 x^{2} =-36

This question is somewhere wrong as there is no negative square number. Answer comes 6i
