x²+5x-24

It can be factorised by spilting the middle term.

x²+5x-24

= x²-3x+8 x-24

= x(x-3)+8(x-3)

= (x-3)(x+8)

So the factors of x²+5x-24 = (x-3)(x+8)

Additional Data :

The zeroes of the given polynomial are :

(x-3) = 0

X = 3

And ,

(X+8) = 0

X = -8

 {x}^{2}  + 5x - 24  \\  {x }^ {2}   - 8x + 3x - 24 \\ x (x - 8) +3(x - 8) \\  (x - 8)(x + 3)

Anonymous: -8 +3 = -5 not +5 correct that {Correct one is +8 - 3}
