Group the like terms and then move to the next step,

(x² + b²) - 2ab
= (x+b)² - 2xb - 2ab
= (x+b)² - 2x - 2b - 2a - 2b
= (x+b)² - 4b - 2ax...

Therefore, the answer is "(x+b)² - 4b - 2ax"...
