Answer:

x² - y² = (x + y)(x - y)

Proof:

We can prove this:

(x + y)( x - y)

= x² - xy + yx - y²

= x² - xy + xy - y²

= x² - y²

(xy and -xy got cancelled)

{\bf{\huge{\underline{\boxed{\red{\mathcal{Answer}}}}}}}

 \implies x^2 - y^2 \\ \implies \bold{(x+y)\times(x-y)} \\ \\ \bold{Verification:} \\ \implies (x+y)\times(x-y) \\ \implies x^2 - xy\!\!\!\!\bold{/} + xy\!\!\!\!\bold{/} - y^2 \\ \implies x^2 - y^2 \\ \\ \\

Hope it helps!
